The Ocean Beach Planning Board will hold its annual elections for the 2013-2014 term on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the Ocean Beach Recreation Center at 4726 Santa Monica Avenue in Ocean Beach. Seats for Seven (7) of the fourteen (14) OB District Representative positions will be up for election – one from each of the seven (7) OB Planning Board Districts. If elected, Representatives serve a two (2) year term of office.

Merchants worked to ready their stores and windows for the holiday season by the decorating deadline on Nov. 30th.  While most felt it was a little too soon in the season, the goal was to have the streets lit up and feeling festive in celebration of the annual OB Christmas Parade.  Well, they did and it looks fantastic!

The SSS - Scholastic Surfing Series - had such a great time at their Avalanche round of competition back in October that they have decided to return this weekend.  Stop by the foot of Brighton St. and cheer them on this Sunday, Dec. 9th.  We're happy to have such a talented group of young surfers back in town.  See below for more details regarding their last visit here.
